Acquatherm
AcquathermTM is an innovative system manufactured by Shreeyash for the first time in the medical history.
which can deliver high flows of Air or Oxygen ranging from I to 15 LPM. The high flows of gases are warmed at body temperature & are humidified up to 99 to 100% relative humidity & are delivered via nasal Cannula.
Advantages of Acquatherm
➡️ Clinical studies have proved that high water vapour is effective in mobilizing thickened airway secretions.
➡️ Breathing warm and humidified gases from Acquatherm™ is an effective method of core rewarming.
➡️ Warm humid gases have been found to inhibit the nasal response to allergy. Water vapour at 41°C is as effective as aerosol therapy in reducing allergic rhinitis symptoms.
➡️ The effect of heat and humidity optimizes the use of nasal cannula, allowing practitioners to use higher flows.
➡️ Provides users the ability to use higher flows without adverse effects and patient discomfort, such as nasal drying, bleeding, and septal breakdown.
➡️ Higher flow offers numerous clinical advantages.
Advantages of AcquathermTM when combined with the advantages of High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation effect of Bubble CPAP is a Boon for the Infant Care takers.
Clinical studies have proved that Bubble CPAP produces High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation effect that helps
in better gas exchange.
Bubble CPAP Comprises
➡️ An air-oxygen blender to accurately control the FiO₂ levels.
➡️ Built-in oil-free dry air compressor for reliable operation.
➡️ Separate flow meter and flow controller for precise adjustments.
➡️ In-line water manometer provided to indicate the CPAP level.
➡️ CPAP water bottle with a tube to set the desired CPAP levels.
➡️ Safety pop-off valve preset at 40 cm H₂O for enhanced protection.
Importance of Heat and Humidity:
Heat and Humidity prevents airway water loss, airway cooling, thickened secretions, nasal irritation & bleeding. AcquathermTM allows delivery of breathing gases heated to body temperature & at nearly 100% relative humidity by Cannula without drying or cooling the airway.
