"QUINEN" PATIENT WARMING MATTRESS
Patented “WARM SAFE” Technology innovated by Shreeyash incorporated in the QUINEN that prevents thermal injury to patient during prolonged use of the blanket below patient. This Patented technology ensures that the heat is uniformly transferred to patient, simultaneously it ensures that thermal injury due to continuous pressure & immobility during prolonged surgeries are avoided. This technology relieves the Anesthetics / Surgeons from the fear of Ischaemia caused due to pressure. Clinical data shows that during prolonged surgery, thermal injuries have caused where pressure was greatest and also from the result of prolonged immobility of the patient.
To circumvent this issue, Shreeyash has innovated the “WARM SAFE” technology for absolute safety of the patient, and ensures that the mattress temp. never exceeds 38°C.
Clinical Studies have shown that the most important factor that caused Ischaemia is temp and exposure time. The lowest direct contact temperature responsible for a cutaneous burn in human is 44°C (Mortiz, 1947) with irreversible injury occurring after six hours of exposure, below this threshold temperature blood flow to the tissue tends to affect temp. distribution in the skin only slightly. However, once the threshold temperature has been reached Ischaemia caused by pressure or surgical techniques may well increase the rate at which injury occurs. Also higher temp. setting may cause injury in short time.
